Provence isn’t the only place in the world to rendezvous with fields of lavender. Summer is lavender season and across the U.S. and Canada. Many of these lavender farms are open to visitors and sell their lavender products such as sachets, bar soaps, teas, honey and even fresh bundles to take home.
Let’s look at some of the destinations where these colorful blooms are popping up.
123 Farm: Cherry Valley, CA
Visitors can frolic through 20 acres of fresh lavender and enjoy lavender-infused food and beverages at 123 Farm. The farm also highlights lavender’s wellness benefits with organic and natural ingredients, creating and testing their own formulas.
From late August through October, guests can partake in Lavender Nights with live music, outdoor dining and over a half million twinkling lights.
Aricelli Farms: Dixon, CA
Woman of color-owned and operated Aricelli Farms is a lavender farm with purpose. Visitors can enjoy seven acres of certified naturally and sustainably grown lavender along with an onsite lavender distillery and freshly distilled lavender essential oils.
I’s not just about the lavender as guests are invited to explore more of the property, including the chicken coop, picnic tables, barn, local art, and more.
Monte-Bellaria di California: Sebastopol, CA
This stunning property emanates the very essence of Sonoma. Specializing in estate-grown lavender, bees, and olive oil, Monte-Bellaria yields the richest of scents and flavors because of Sonoma County’s mild Mediterranean-like climate.
Their “Come See The Bees” farm tours feature visits to the onsite bee hives to educate guests on what everyone’s favorite pollinators are up to behind closed doors.
Fork and Plow Lavender Farm: Aguanga, CA
It’s pretty cool when you can pick and cut your own lavender bouquet to take home with you!
Fork and Plow Lavender Farm encourages guests to wander through the farm, listen to the drones of its hard-working bees, sip a freshly-squeezed lavender lemonade or stay for a fresh garden lunch made from the farm’s own produce.

Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm: Maui, Hawaii

This stunning farm in upcountry Maui nestled on the slopes of Haleakala is truly magical. The 13.5-acre farm is home to 55,000 lavender plants and 20 different varietals. Though lavender is a summer bloomer, nine of the farm’s varieties bloom all year round.
You’ll also find olive trees, protea, hydrangea, succulents, and native plants along with some of most awe-inspiring landscapes on the island.
Of course, you’re also welcome to tour the farm and visit the charming gift shop to take home some of your own memories of paradise.
Hill Country Lavender Farm: Blanco, TX
Surrounded by scenic views of Texas Hill Country and native live oaks, this delightful lavender farm opened in 1999. Over 2,000 lavender plants are scattered across two fields visitors can walk through. Guests are welcome to cut their own lavender to take home or purchase one of its more than 70 lavender products.
If you visit mid-May through July, you can also enjoy Blanco’s yearly lavender festival.
Chappell Hill Lavender Farm: Brenham, TX
Located out in the countryside between Austin and Houston, Chappell Hill Lavender Farm is surrounded by stunning hillside views.
Twice during the year at cutting season, guests can meander the fragrant rows and cut their own lavender. A gazebo on the farm is another ideal place for a memorable photo.
The Secret Garden at Brys Estate: Traverse City, MI

This stunning garden on the Brys Estate Winery property features 6,000 lavender plants of 11 different varieties covering 12 acres that also includes flowers, herb gardens and a farmhouse-inspired gift shop.
Visitors can partake in u-pick lavender experiences, strawberry picking in the summer and taste fresh lavender lemonade.
Lavender Life Company: Caledonia, MI
North of Green Lake, just 20 minutes south of downtown Grand Rapids, serene and secluded Lavender Life Farm sits on nearly 30 acres of lavender fields, wildflower gardens and ponds.
Guests can tour the farm, pick their own lavender and shop in the barn carrying an array of products made on the farm such as lavender teas, honey, syrups, soaps and more.
Bleu Lavande: Québec, Canada

Springtime in Quebec also brings blooming lavender fields and Bleu Lavande in the Eastern Townships offers stunning bursts of colors and enticing fragrances in its lavender grove. It also features thoughtfully created organic health, beauty and wellness products.
During high season (June through September), guests can enjoy seasonal programs, workshops, musical performances and wellness experiences.
Lavenderland: Richmond, British Columbia
This first-ever lavender farm in the greater Vancouver area that opened in 2021 is situated on seven acres of economically friendly farmed lavender. Travelers can visit in the summer season that lasts through the end of September to explore its four different lavender species grown in its carefully cultivated fields.
