Noreen Kompanik and Kristi Dosh of Travel Writers University added Rovology to their portfolio of travel websites in January 2023.
Rovology’s new guiding philosophy is “changing your world through travel.” Our stories are meant to broaden reader perspectives, exposing them to new people, places, cultures and ideas. Travel should be portrayed as an awakening and enlightenment to make us a better citizen of the world. Rovology aspires to have heart, soul, spirit and guts in its storytelling, for ultimately, travel is as an opportunity for self-improvement, knowledge and understanding.

Meet the Team

Kristi Dosh
Co-Founder and Chief Operating OfficerKristi Dosh is a “recovering attorney” turned publicist, as well as a contributor with Forbes, POPSUGAR, AARP, CraftBeer.com and Entrepreneur. She has also written for such outlets as Glamour, Men’s Health, Woman’s Day, Parents, Golf Digest and more. Kristi is also the founder of Business of College Sports writes about writes novels under the pen name Savannah Carlisle.
Kristi previously served as a multi-platform reporter at ESPN and holds a law degree from the University of Florida. She is the author of two books and a frequent public speaker, in addition to teaching as an adjunct in University of Florida’s Journalism, Public Relations and Sports Management programs. She also teaches programs on social media for travel writers, personal branding, public relations, public speaking and writing.

Noreen Kompanik
Co-Founder & Managing EditorNoreen Kompanik is a retired registered nurse, legal nurse consultant, and military spouse turned travel writer. She launched her travel writing career in 2014 and has over 800 articles in both digital and print publications.
She is a regular contributor for Travel Pulse and a senior writer for GoNOMAD. Noreen also freelances for San Diego Explorer, Edible San Diego Magazine, International Living, and Europe Up Close, and pioneered the Travel Writer’s Café.

Chadd Scott
Executive EditorChadd Scott had a 20-plus year sports media career prior to transitioning to travel writing with a focus on arts, culture, Indigenous heritage and Black history. Growing up in Wisconsin, his wanderlust developed from childhood trips to the grandparents in Texas and Florida and a trip with his mom to San Diego at 10-years-old.
Now living in Fernandina Beach, FL, Scott still loves traveling around the Sunshine State and co-hosts the “Welcome to Florida” podcast celebrating the state’s unique ecology, personalities and history. His favorite places to visit are San Diego (still), Santa Fe, New Orleans, New York, Charleston, etc., etc., etc., which is why he left sports to write about places.

Michael Kompanik
Managing EditorMichael Kompanik is a retired US Navy Captain and now a freelance writer and photographer living in San Diego. He enjoys wandering the globe in search of historic places, nature, spectacular scenery, and fascinating cultures. He’s also part of a travel writing team with his wife, Noreen who shares in his sense of adventure.
