Pantone revolutionized the printing industry in 1963 with its colorful Pantone Matching System, an innovative tool allowing for the selection, articulation, and reproduction of colors anywhere in the world.

Each year, Pantone announces a color of the year and… drum roll… for 2024 the company has selected Peach Fuzz as its Color of the Year. Pantone describes Peach Fuzz as a warm and inviting shade that radiates softness and evokes a sense of community and collaboration.

What does Peach Fuzz have to do with travel?

Visitors can find the heartfelt hue at these destinations and hotels. If you’re like me, you may have visited some of these places in the past, but now, you’ll see them in an entirely new color!

Nassau Paradise Island, Atlantis Paradise Hotel

Paradise Island is home to the iconic Atlantis resort, easily recognized by its warm peach fuzz tint from miles away.

Set against a beautiful backdrop of white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, Pantone’s color of the year pops as the pigment of the resort’s buildings inviting visitors to experience all that the resort has to offer. That includes an expansive collection of restaurants and luxury accommodations, water adventures, and one of the largest water-themed attractions in the world, Aquaventure.

Bahamian hospitality will make guests feel warm and fuzzy inside as every need is taken care of. Whether relaxing on the beach, playing at the casino, or sailing down the waterslides, guests staying at Atlantis Paradise Island will be surrounded by peach fuzz hues everywhere they turn.

Monterey County’s allure is a blend of coastal beauty, culinary standouts, outdoor adventures, and scenic accommodations.

Located in the heart of Cannery Row, Spindrift Inn inspires a sense of calm and rejuvenation with its peaceful beachfront setting and peach-hued exterior. Known as the area’s most romantic hotel, the property features 45 guest rooms and suites all sporting views of stunning Monterey Bay and charming scenes of the colorful street famously immortalized by John Steinbeck.

Travelers will find this intimate getaway perfect for exploring other Pantone-inspired attractions and destination staples including Carmel-by-the-Sea’s coastline at sunset or photo-ops with the ‘Carmel Shell,’ drinking rosé in renowned Monterey Wine Country, and even visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium for its many types of peach-hued sea life.

South Dakota, Baby Bison

Boasting six National Park Service units and 63 state parks and recreation areas, South Dakota offers travelers a destination filled with diverse landscapes, unencumbered outdoors, and plenty of opportunities to spot one of the state’s most iconic animals: the bison.

Before growing into majestic adults, baby bison start out as little peachy-orange puffs of fur with knobby knees and heart-melting faces. Embodying the hue and feel of Pantone’s color of the year, these babies represent togetherness and community as they travel with their parents in large packs throughout the state, but none more so than in Custer State Park.

Home to nearly 1,300 free-roaming bison, travelers can spot the newest residents (from a distance) along the 18-mile Wildlife Loop Road that winds through the park.

If you’ve never visited Garden of the Gods, you must put it on your travel wish list. It’s one of my favorite national landmarks.

Located in Colorado Springs and overlooking awe-inspiring views of the National Natural Landmark of the same name, Garden of the Gods Resort and Club is a premier retreat in the Rocky Mountain West offering a world-class resort and wellness experience.

Through its state-of-the-art integrated med spa, Strata, guests have access to 40 board-certified doctors, therapists, and wellness clinicians offering a variety of spa and med services for personalized care amidst nature’s bounty.

As part of Strata’s amenities, guests have an opportunity to benefit from a peach-and-pink hued Himalayan salt-inhalation room (halotherapy) with infrared heat therapy perfect for stress management and detoxification, as well as an herbal sauna for an aromatherapy experience.

Louisville, The Bellwether House

Discover all things leisure, luxury, and Louisville at The Bellwether, a historic yet cutting-edge venue in downtown.

Adjacent to this pristine hotel lies the deluxe and private Bellwether House—a haven of opulence and comfort. The interior design and plush amenities seamlessly blend with Pantone’s color of the year bringing a modern and timeless charm to the Bellwether House.

The gentle presence of this peach fuzz tone creates an environment of subtle warmth that invites guests to relax in its ambiance. Step into the open living, dining, and kitchen area, filled with blush and beige tones.

Local artist Jake Heustis’s original art prints grace the walls alongside locally sourced furniture, offering a lavish Louisville retreat in the four-bedroom layout. The Bellwether House’s beautiful interior designs and inviting atmosphere showcase a fusion of contemporary style with this year’s defining color trend.

Panama City Beach, Capt. Anderson’s Restaurant and Waterfront Market

Recipient of the “Best Seafood Restaurant” award from Southern Living and Wine Spectator’s “Award of Excellence,” the peach-hued Capt. Anderson’s has been innovating classic Gulf Coast dishes since 1967.

The elegant, family-owned restaurant is a staple in Panama City Beach, serving up fresh seafood and steaks with an extensive wine list. It’s a local tradition to dine early at Capt. Anderson’s Restaurant and watch the fishing fleets unload their daily catch.

ZOA Energy: White Peach Flavor

This is absolutely one of my favorite flavors!

ZOA Energy exists to activate the world’s potential, giving people the fuel they need to show up as their best selves. Developed by strength and conditioning coach Dave Rienzi, global icon and businessman Dwayne Johnson, global entrepreneur and chairwoman Dany Garcia, and entrepreneur and investor John Shulman, ZOA is taking the product to new heights.

ZOA’s White Peach Energy Drink provides an invigorating, sugar-free boost of energy, utilizing natural caffeine derived from green tea and green coffee, amino acids and electrolytes.

So, what are your other peach fuzz favorite places or products? We’d love to know!
