Ambassador Andrew Young, a towering figure of the Civil Rights Movement and global humanitarian, headlines the Freedom Vibes 2025 “Uniting Voices” Speaker Series on Thursday, June 19. A close confidant of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Ambassador Young was a key strategist during the Civil Rights Movement, helping lead historic efforts such as the Selma to Montgomery marches.
He later became the first African American U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and served two terms as mayor of Atlanta, where he helped transform the city into an international hub of culture and commerce. Now in his 90s, Ambassador Young continues to shape the world through his wisdom and vision and his participation in Freedom Vibes 2025 continues a proud tradition of powerful, purpose-driven dialogue.
